Ethiopian Students who are out of school

In Ethiopia, millions of students are out of school due to insecurity. In 2016, 8.8 million students were out of school in various parts of the country, according to Ministry of Education data.
According to the ministry, 8,977 schools have been affected by the conflict in Ethiopia, of which 6,483 have been completely closed.
In the conflict-ridden Amhara region alone, 2.6 million students have been unable to go to school since April 2015.
According to data shared today by the U.S. Embassy in Ethiopia, 33 percent of all Ethiopian students are out of school
